Sydney based writer/producer Kayle Butler has transformed himself into overnight success JVLY. The 21-year-old audio engineer took people by surprise all over the world last year with his debut single "Unravel", racking up well over a million streams on Spotify alone. JVLY grew up in a house full of musicians, constantly being surrounded by noise and going to shows gave him the chance to develop his own musicianship. By the time he finished high school, JVLY knew exactly what he wanted to do with his life: create music. He moved to Sydney and landed a fundamental internship at Jungle Studios where he honed his production skills and made great connections throughout the industry.
Being influenced by the connectivity of Kevin Parker and the cinematic feel of Frank Ocean, JVLY creates atmospheres and moods in his music. Indie Shuffle says he produces “a delicately crafted slice of electronica that swells with synths and layers of overlapping vocals” all because he decided to express his emotions through music. And according to DopeOnRepeat, “this luscious and emotional combination of music not only unravels the occurrences of today, but it clearly also unravels the talents for one of tomorrow’s promising young artists.”
The music world is sitting in anticipation for upcoming releases which will be coming out later this year, and after listening to JVLY’s single "Unravel", you’ll be one of the crowd.
