Justin Hunter is the perfect example of a prolific musician whose talent is not caged by only one genre. His works include Abbe May, Chet Faker, Rufus, The Silent Titan and Kid Kenobi, while his underground status continues to grow with new works featuring ALL DAY, TA-KU and PEAKS.
Reminiscent of the likes of Nils Frahm, Einaudi and Enya, Hunter draws from his classical background to produce his signature sound - raw instrumental piano. Raised in the beautiful Blue Mountains of Australia, Hunter started his musical journey by simply selling his music on the streets. Thousands of albums were sold, purely from Hunter walking in and out of shops, introducing himself and playing his music to anyone that would listen.
Hunter studied the Japanese Suzuki Method for piano, until furthering his studies at the NSW Conservatorium of Music in Sydney's historic Botanical Gardens. Much of his youth was spent playing local concert halls in Sydney before cutting his first album [[sip]].
Moving into the modern day, Justin Hunter garners thousands upon thousands of streams across all platforms. Placed in Spotify's "Piano In The Background" playlist has helped build his fanbase and has seen his single "Drown" accumulate over 600,000 streams.
Justin has also begun a new music venture under the name of Em Flach. Em Flach's name was originally inspired by his Grandmother, who lived in the Netherlands where she supported her husband who worked for the Dutch Resistance against the Nazi Regime. "Let It Fall" is the first track from his debut EP, #LDKS.
